With one-off interactive cinematic experiences and classic films in our town centre, Eastleigh Film Festival puts the excitement back into the movies.

Tuesday 26th September 2017
5 High St, Eastleigh SO50 5LF

Director: Rob Reiner
Certificate: 15
Running time: 96 minutes

Friends Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan) explore friendship between men and women, attempting to understand if a relationship can ever be truly platonic between the two sexes in Rob Reiner's comedy.

Why we love it:

When Harry Met Sally is a fun-fuelled exploration of the often complex relationship between men and women. Billy Crystal is on excellent form, accompanied by queen of the genre Meg Ryan, as director Rob Reiner confidently bends the rules of what a romance film is, and can be.

It's full of realism and packs a feel-good punch and, most importantly, escapes genre cliches in amongst a whole bunch of movies trying to achieve the same thing. Reiner and writer Nora Ephron use a fresh perspective to portray the complexity of romantic relationships and the bonds of friendship allowing the film to feel as new today as it was in 1989.

We screen this comedy gem at Boswells in Eastleigh town centre, so take a seat and grab a coffee for an intimate mini-screening experience.
